Petaluma Shopping & Dining is a pleasure!

Search through history in over ten antique shops in the downtown area. Discover a local artist at one of over fifteen galleries made more accessible on Art Walks, held the second Saturday of every month.

Also. it's no wonder we were named “Restaurant Capital of Sonoma County” with one hundred and 40 restaurants and delis!

And let's not forget the wine! There are 3 wineries within the city of Petaluma and nearly 2 hundred in the surrounding Sonoma County area. To compliment the wine, stop by one of the two cheese creameries that call Petaluma home.

We also have the Petaluma Village Premium Outlet, where you can find the names you love at an even better price.

Find what you're looking for in Petaluma!

Downtown Petaluma can't be beat!

Deeply rooted in tradition, many efforts are upheld to preserve the historic elements of our growing downtown.

Stroll Kentucky Street for historic buildings, as well as boutiques, galleries, antique dealers and cafes found only here!

For a night out, McNears and Mystic Theater offer convenience like no one else. Located next door to one another, you can get dinner and a show in one happening spot!

The new Theater District offers residential and commercial space with a location that offers many services within walking distance.

The nearby Lanmart Building and Golden Eagle Center provide advantageous locations for one stop shopping but if you need some wheels to get you around, Petaluma Transit's fleet of low-floor buses is accessible from all downtown locations!

There’s nothing sleepy about Petaluma!

For starters, of course, our very own annual Salute to “American Graffiti” in May includes a cruise down the same streets where the classic American movie was filmed more than 30 years ago. Then there's the annual Butter & Egg Days Parade in April and our HUGE Veterans Day Parade in November!

Also, don’t think the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest at the Sonoma-Marin Fair each June in Petaluma is just for animal lovers – it appeals to everyone with a sense of humor and compassion. The fair’s headline entertainers usually draw a good crowd, too. There’s always an exhibition, concert or performance going on in town.

Then there’s the great outdoors for golf, tennis, swimming, hiking, and cycling. Not to mention the boating and fishing on the Petaluma River.

Petaluma’s Salute to American Graffiti is featured in a travel blog on ResortsandLodges.com!
